Description

In this, the second of a two-part survey of the role of the IAEA's regulations for the safe transport of radioactive materials, some details are given of their applicability to the various modes of transport. Short descriptions are given of the IAEA's requirements for labelling, quality assurance, transport control, administration and emergency procedures. Worldwide transport by post, national regulations and future developments are discussed. (U.K.)
