The results of treatment of patients with thyroid cancer with metastases in the mediastinal lymph nodes and lungs

The results of treatment of patients with metastases in lungs and mediastinal lymph nodes differentiated thyroid cancer by radio-active iodine as to one of constituents of the combined treatment are analyses. 9-years clinical looking showed after this group of patients (34): Died 10 patients over 45 years of age, 6 patients have generalisation cancer disease, 9 patients do not have effect of treatment, 1 patient died from concomitant pathology. Metastases in lungs and mediastinal lymph nodes on the basis of generalisation of the malignant process often called poorly differentiated thyroid cancer, insensitive to therapy radio-active iodine.
