Kinetic regularities of oxygen-containing adducts formation in reaction of different-valence vanadium complexes interaction

Description
A previously unknown property of vanadium peroxocomplexes VO(O2)pic·2Y2O (pic - picolinic acid) to react with vanadium complexes at high rates was revealed. Bimolecular rate constants of the reaction were determined. Totality of kinetic data points to formation of an adduct having peroxodimeric structure of different valency forms of vanadium. The adduct mentioned possesses a high activity in reactions of one-electron oxidation of ionol and its phenoxy radical
