Description
209Bi was irradiated with 47 MeV/u 12C ions, an the Au isotopes were produced via multinucleon transfer reaction in bombardments of 209Bi with 12C. Au was separated radiochemically from the mixture of Bi and the reaction products. The γ-radioactivities of Au isotopes were measured using a HPGe detector. The production cross sections of Au isotopes were determined based on the activities of Au isotopes at the end of irradiation and the other relational data. It is found that the production cross sections for neutron-deficient Au isotopes deviate from an exponential dependence on Qgg values. The fact demonstrates that neutron-deficient Au isotopes seem to arise from the second process in the reaction. (authors)
