Measurement of neutron capture cross section for 180Hf

Description
The neutron capture cross section for 180Hf have been measured relative to the 197Au (n,γ)198Au reaction at neutron energies of 0.52, 1.10 and 1.60 MeV using the activation method. The activities of the products were counted with a high resolution HPGe detector gamma ray spectroscope. The errors of the measured results were 5%∼6%. Cross sections are calculated with code UNF. The recommended data for the reaction are also given. The results have a good agreement with those of other authors
