Physicochemical aspects of water purification by aluminium comprising reagents and coal

Description

Present article is devoted to physicochemical aspects of water purification by aluminium comprising reagents and coal. Acid decomposition of nepheline syenites, kaolin clays, zeolites and bentonite has been studied in order to obtaining aluminium comprising coagulants for water purification. The rational conditions of acid decomposition of raw material have been defined. Physicochemical properties of initial aluminosilicate raw material and end products after decomposition by hydrochloric acid have been studied by means of chemical, differential-thermal and X-ray phase analysis methods. The flowsheet of obtaining of mixed coagulant from kaolin clay has been elaborated and proposed.
