Rare decay and hyperons
Description
The working group on Rare Decays and Hyperons considered several topics of potential interest for LAMPF II. Presentations were made by several persons and much discussion followed. My impression of our conclusion is that while the arguments for a next generation of rare K decay experiments are strong and the need for LAMPF II obvious, the situation for hyperon physics is less clear. Since some hyperon experiments can best be done at FNAL or the SPS, it will require detailed design to determine the class of experiments for which LAMPF II excels
