Purification of plutonium
Description
A description is given of the procedure developed in the Plutonium Laboratory of the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute for the purification of Pu. The anion and cation exchange techniques using nitric acid and hydrochloric acid systems are applied to separate impurities such as Fe, Al and Am from both micro and macro quantities of Pu. (author)
