Amorphous CuZr alloy investigated by anomalous X-ray scattering

Description

Cu Zr amorphous powder was prepared by a mechano-chemical reaction in order to state a comparison with corresponding samples prepared by different amorphization processes. The structure of the alloyed powder is studied by anomalous X-ray scattering method. Starting from a suitable set of total and differential structure factors and using a regularization algorithm, a set of partial structure factors is obtained, which compares well with those previously obtained for a sample prepared by rapid solidification of the melt.
