POP experiment (I) of induction synchrotron. Induction acceleration of a single RF bunch and formation of a superbunch in the KEK-PS

  • 1. High Energy Accelerator Research Organization, Tsukuba, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

This paper describes the overview of an induction system in KEK-PS and present status of Proof-of-Principle experiments of a 'induction synchrotron', which can accelerate long and flat bunch that is called superbunch' for obtaining higher beam intensity. (author)
