Spectral response of some types of photomultipliers

  • 1. Institute of High Energy Physics, Serpukhov (USSR)

Description

Photomultipliers are widely used for registration of weak light signals. They are employed in Cerenkov and scintillation counters, hadron and electromagnetic calorimeters, and a number of other detectors. Selection of a photomultiplier for a specific detector requires careful study of its response. The spectral responses of FEU-84-3, FEU-85, FEU-87, FEU-100, FEU-110, FEU-115, FEU-139, FEU-140, FEU-143, and GFEU-30 photomultipliers are measured. Calculated and experimentally determined photoelectron responses are given for registration of scintillation and Cerenkov radiation
