Accretion onto magnetized neutron stars: Structure and interchange instability of a model magnetosphere
Description
A self-consistent model for the entry of spherically infalling plasma into the magnetosphere of a slowly rotating, strongly magnetized neutron star, in the case of a weakly magnetized infalling plasma is described. The implications of the approximations for the applicability of the model to X-ray sources are discussed
