On recrystallization in titanium alloys
Description
The possibility is studied of using high-speed electric heating for recrystallization of VT9 and VT18 titanium alloys. It has been found that titanium alloys show no phase recrystallization. The improvement on the coarse-grained fibre structure occurs when heating up to the temperature of the β-region by either boundary migration at the stage of secondary recrystallization or through primary recrystallization after a small preliminary (α+β)-deformation
