Description
Full text: It is well known that study of exotic nuclei is the most active field in nuclear studies. It is now also well known that reactions involving radioactive are important for understanding of astrophysical processes. While the studies of the interaction between radioactive nuclei and protons are a flourishing field, the data on the interaction of radioactive nuclei with α particles are scant due to experimental difficulties. The reactions between radioactive nuclei and α particles are important as link reactions between the nuclei in the pp chains and the CNO nuclei. They are important in violent stellar explosions such as novae and x-ray bursts, and in the last stages of a supernova explosion, the so called alpha rich freeze out. In my talk, different experiments on the resonance interactions of light radioactive nuclei with protons or α particles will be considered. In particular, I'll consider the first application of the Thick Target Inverse Kinematics technique to the reactions with three particles in the final state, and to astrophysical important case of (α, p) reactions on radioactive nuclei
