Extreme loads and associated safety aspects
Description
Acomprehensive review highlights progress and new results obtained within the last two years in the field of extreme loads and associated safety aspects. For the time beeing work describing safety-relevant processes excepted as a consequence of the postulated loss of coolant accident is of central importance. Extreme loads might also be imposed on a nuclear power plant following an aircraft-crash, by chemical explosions in the neighbourhood of the plant or by an earthquake, These events are likewise the objectives of intensives experimental or analytical investigations with respect to their implications on nuclear power plants, their results are summarized. Abstract (German)
In einer Uebersicht werden schwerpunktmaessig Fortschritte und neuere Erkenntnisse diskutiert, die in den letzten beiden Jahren zur Beurteilung von Extremlastfaellen und ihrer Sicherheitsaspekte zu beobachten waren. Von zentraler Bedeutung in diesem Zusammenhang sind nach wie vor die Untersuchungen sicherheitstechnisch relevanter Vorgaenge, die als Folge eines postulierten Kuehlmittelverluststoerfalls zu analysieren sind. Extremlastfaelle koennten auch durch Flugzeugabsturz auf Kernkraftwerke, durch chemische Explosionen ausserhalb der Anlage oder durch Erdbeben hervorgerufen werden. Auch diese ausloesenden Ereignisse sind Gegenstand intensiver experimenteller und analytischer Arbeiten in Hinblick auf ihre im Kernkraftwerk moeglichen Auswirkungen. Ueber die Ergebnisse wird eine zusammenfassende Beurteilung gegeben. (orig.)Additional details
