Microstructure evolution of Mo-16Cr-4Si alloy

Description

This paper present the results of studies conducted on Mo-16Cr-4Si (Wt%), alloys by reaction hot pressing of elemental powder mixtures. Oxidation studies for sintered samples were investigated between 800 deg C and 1000 deg C and oxidation kinetics parameters were evaluated. Evolution of phases and microstructures during hot pressing and oxide scale formation were studied by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) analysis.
