Description
Mundite occurs at Kobokobo, Kivu, Zaire, as yellow tablets flattened with 3 perfect cleavages. The crystal lattice is orthorhombic and the density is 4.295. The X-ray powder was determined. The crystals are optically biaxial negative. Formula is Al(UO2)3(PO4)2(OH)3 approximately 5.5H2O. Mundite belongs to the structural group of phosphuranylite
