On solubility of vanadium (5) oxide in nitric acid in the presence of aluminium (3) oxide

Description
Isothermal method was used to study solubility of vanadium (5) oxides in the presence of aluminium (3) oxide in nitric acid solutions at different concentrations and temperatures. Spectrophotometric and pH-metric investigation of 0.01 mol/l NaVO3, 0.02 mol/l Al(NO3)3 and 0.02 mol/l HNO3 solutions was conducted to clarity the possibility of complexing in mentioned system. It is shown that all proposed VO+2 + complex compounds in nitric acid solutions are soluble at pH <
