Plasma particle balance and analysis of the gas released from the JET tokamak vessel

Description

This thesis describes the design and application of the new Gas Collection System (GCS) to measure the time evolution, absolute quantity and composition of the gas exhausted from the Joint European Torus (JET) tokamak. This information is necessary for the calculation of the number of hydrogenic particles retained in the wall of the tokamak after plasma operation, and to characterise the mechanisms of hydrogenic release and retention from the wall
