Reduction Colour and BOD of Textile Waste by Carbon-TiO2

  • 1. Centre for Accelerator Technology and Material Process, National Nuclear Energy Agency, Yogyakarta (Indonesia)

Description

The Granule Forming of Carbon adsorbent has been done with 5, 10, 15% of TiO2 using the variation of adhesive materials on 110, 130, and 150 °C with diameter of 0.5 and 1 cm. The adsorbent materials was used to media of color levels absorption and BOD level on textile waste product by using stirring methods. The variation of stirring 20, 40 and 60 minutes. The result showed that the best materials condition and process were fox glue on 110 °C, stirring time at 60 minutes at 15% TiO2, which potent to adsorb colours level 29.608% and BOD level 66.157%.
