Cementation treatment for radioactive waste at NPPs
Description
The cementation technology for radioactive-waste and the objects to be solidified are summarized. The process characteristics (include mixing inside and outside drum) and operation of the cementation at different NPPs in China are introduced. The oversea cementation technology and the development are also briefly introduced. The results and new trends of cementation recipe and study on the performances of cemented waste forms are summarized. All of cemented waste forms must meet the safety requirements of the standards: 'performance requirements for low and intermediate level radioactive waste cemented form' and 'long term leach testing of solidified radioactive waste forms'.
