Description
At the end of the fifties, Argentina made the first nuclear technology export: the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) sold to a German company the know-how for the manufacture of Argonaut-type fuel elements. At the same time CNEA started the transfer of radioactive materials to several countries in the region. The transfer of technology and equipment related to the applications of nuclear techniques and to the production of radioisotope and radiopharmaceuticals were also started in the sixties. At present Argentina is an important exporter of Co-60
