Surveillance Test Interval optimization at nuclear power plants
Description
Common procedures of Surveillance Test Interval (STI) optimization at nuclear power plants are described and possible directions of future development are highlighted. Optimization is largely based on the results of Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA). The contribution deals with the following topics: basics of STI optimization, STI optimization at nuclear power plants, and STI optimization procedures. The possibility of using genetic algorithms for STI optimization. is discussed briefly. (author)
