On a nonlinear closure approximation for cosmic-ray diffusion equations
Description
Owens has recently proposed, and used, a nonlinear closure approximation for the turbulent Liouville equation in order to obtain a cosmic-ray diffusion equation. We show here that his proposed scheme is forbidden since it demands that a positive definite integral be identically zero. Subject headings: cosmic rays - hydromagnetics
