Kinetic method for determination of specific activity of rare earth radioactive preparations

Description
A kinetic method, comparable in sensitivity to a substoichiometric analysis, is presented for determining the specific activity of radioactive preparations. The specific activity is calculated from the tangent of the inclination angle of the experimental curve which expresses a dependence between the amount of a complexon added to excess radioactive preparation, and the activity of a complexonate formed upon dissociation during a strictly limited time interval. The method has been tested for the case of 170Tm preparations with the specific activity of 30 and 900 mC/g
