Description

The problem on conservation of anisotropic plasma pressure in a quadrupole stabilizing element (anchor) of the Dracon confinement system by means of fast atoms injection is considered. The Dracon magnetic confinement system is a long equilibrium configuration in which long rectilinear sections with a homogeneous magnetic field are connected by special curvilinear equilibrium elements not perturbing the equilibrium plasma configuration in rectilinear sections. It is shown that at high injection energy required for the system stability the pressure longitudinal inhomogeneity degree can be ensured by a relatively small group of high-energy ''anchor'' particles. On the assumption of Coulomb scattering mechanism analytical expressions for basic characteristics of high-energy ''anchor'' particles are obtained; optimization of ''anchor''-parameters with the purpose of decreasing power consumption at injection. It is shown that the system stability can be ensured at reasonable values of parameters characterizing magnetic, ''anchor'' configuration and injection conditions
