Shells for use in thermonuclear device
Description
Purpose: To provide shells for use in a thermonuclear device capable of attaining the function as shell and controll coils, simple in the structure and being capable of decomposed repair. Constitution: Shell plates forming magnetic fields suppressing the displacement of plasmas upon vertical displacement are disposed independently at the upper and the lower portions of the plasmas. The shell plate is made electroconductive to improve the plasma controllability. Since the shell is a structural member and, at the same time, operating structure, they can effectively provide the function of the shells and the function as the control coils. Accordingly, the bonding property with plasmas and plasma controllability can be improved to increase the tritium breeding ratio, as well as it is possible to be decomposed for repair. (Kamimura, M.)
