Manifestations of quark-gluon plasma in cosmic ray experiments

  • 1. Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (State University), 115409 Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

For explanation of many results obtained in cosmic ray experiments at energies above the knee, the production of heavy particles with large cross section, appearance of large orbital (or rotational) momenta and other unusual phenomena are required. In the paper, these unusual phenomena are analyzed taking into account experimental data from Quark Gluon Plasma investigations and some theoretical models predicting large values of orbital momenta in Quark Gluon Plasma. In general, it is possible to consider cosmic ray data as a bridge between RHIC and future LHC results
