Underground radon gas concentrations related to earth tides
- 1. Centre Universitaire, Luxembourg (Luxembourg)
- 2. European Centre for Geodynamics and Seismology, Walferdange (Luxembourg)
Description
The paper presents the preliminary radon concentrations recorded in a former gypsum mine near Walferdange (Luxembourg), which hosts an underground laboratory for geodynamics and seismology. First results show that besides outside temperature and atmospheric air pressure, radon concentrations seem to be influenced by earth tides
