The translation of the known French work of the Nobel-price holder Cohen-Tannoudji and his co-authors Diu and Laloe introduces studying of physics and natural sciences in the terms of quantum mechanics. After the positive acception of the first three editions of this textbook in German language this work comes now out in fourth revised and improved edition. Each chapter consists of two parts. In the first part the basic postulates and terms are presented and developed. The second part - the supplements - mediates by means of numerous exercise problems and examples the acquaintance with the fundamental quantum-mechanical knowledge. By this this work is simultaneously a text and exercise book, which is also in the professional praxis useful as reference book.
