Diffusion coefficients of hydrogen in LaNi5

Description
Coefficients of hydrogen diffusion are determined and their dependence on temperature in the range of α-solid solution and β-hydride LaNi5 is ascertained. Lower values of the coefficients in β-phase, as compared with the ones for α-phase, are caused by the influence of intermetallic compound lattice deformation related to the increase in the amount of hydrogen absorbed. Critical point of stratification was evaluated to be (423+-5) K
