Description
We analyze the ground-state energy of n anyons experiencing both a constant magnetic field and a harmonic central potential. We emphasize, in particular, the dependence of the ground state on the direction of the magnetic field. For example, in the three-anyon case, when the magnetic field is parallel to the anyon flux tubes the ground state has one or two crossovers, and when the magnetic field is antiparallel to the flux tubes at most one crossover, depending on the relative strength of the magnetic field and the harmonic potential
