Corrosion and electrochemical behaviour Ti and Ti + Si coatings deposited on steels by means of self ion assisted deposition

Description
The corrosion and electrochemical properties of low carbon steels (St 3, St 45) and a chromium doped steel (St 40 Cr) modified by self ion assisted deposition of titanium and titanium + silicon coatings have been investigated. The results from electrochemical analysis of corrosion behavior of samples in de-aerated borate buffer solution (p H = 6.5), in Na2SO4 solution (p H = 5.0) and weak (0.01 n) H2SO4 solution are discussed
