Controllable neutron fields in the WWR-C reactor for the problems of nuclear engineering
Description
The results of measurement of neutron field integral characteristics in the WWR-C reactor channels, which is the basic one in solving the problems of nuclear technology are presented. Investigations included the neutron spectrum determination in the range from 0.5 eV to 18 MeV, measurement of integral characteristics of fields in fixed points of space and at definite reactor power, determination of field gradients and binding coefficients of neutron characteristics with readings of neutron activation detectors. About 30 types of resonance and threshold detectors were used for measurements. Data obtained are typical for all water cooled and moderated reactors
