Intermediate and metastable phases during synthesis of some lanthanide phosphates
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (USSR). Inst. Obshchej i Neorganicheskoj Khimii
Description
The influence of ratio of interacting initial lanthanide (Ln=La-Eu) oxides and monoammonium phosphate during solid phase synthesis on the composition and structure of the phases formed was studied. The synthesis of oxophosphate Ln7P3O18 (7:3), the final temperature of the synthesis being 1400 deg C, in the temperature range of 1100-1200 deg C takes place via formation of Ln3PO7 oxophosphate intermediate phase, and La3PO7 oxophosphate is crystallized in metastable form, characteristic of stable modifications of Pr3PO7-Eu3PO7 series
