Outline of the Seismic Buckling Design Guideline of FBR

Description

The present study achievements obtained so far have been put together to establish a tentative draft of the Seismic Buckling Design Guideline of FBR. In future, demonstrative studies will be accumulated, planning to work out the final draft, with priority given to the following points: 1) Effects of thermal deformation upon buckling strength 2) Loading effects of vertical seismic motion 3) Improvement of the accuracy of response reduction factor 4) Generally quantifying the seismic margin.
