Alloying of magnetically-hard alloys on the Fe-Co-Ni-Al base with silicon

Description

The silicon effect on the structure and magnetic properties of iron alloys with 15-25% Co, 14% Ni, 8-10% Al and and 3% Cu has been investigated by the method of differential thermal analysis. Silicon doping was found to result in higher stability of the α-solid solution with respect to high-temperature α → α+γ and high-coercitive α → α+α' decompositions. Silicon doping does not affect the Curie point of the alloy. As the silicon content grows up to 0.5%, the residual induction increases and then decreases with further growth of silicon content
