Langevin description of fission with chaos controlled friction
Description
The Langevin equation has been applied successfully for fission dynamics of highly excited heavy nuclei in recent years. It is observed that the effect of including the chaos factor is to enhance the fission rate by almost a factor of two. The chaos weighted wall formula (CWWF) thus seems to change the fission rate in the right direction. This work is now continuing to include neutron evaporation
