Applications of radioactive tracers in the study of through-flow chemical reactors. XIII

Description

The wet part of the NPK fertilizer unit consists of a group of series connected U-tube shaped reactors with propeller stirrers. The pulse responses of individual reactors or groups of reactors, were determined with the use of radiotracers sup(113m)In or 198Au. In the response analysis of a single reactor, parametric analysis in Laplacean space was applied. The designed and experimentally verified model of the pulse response of the complete plant makes it possible to calculate the transition characteristics for the required output. (author)
