Method and device of completely burning out radioactive organic wastes
Description
Purpose: To completely burn out radioactive organic wastes, independently of water content, without radioactivity dispersion and damage of incinerator wall. Method: Radioactive organic wastes are stirred together with organic solvents such as alcohols in a mixing and agitating vessel and then introduced through a constant-volume supplying device into a heat decomposing device, in which the organic wastes and the organic solvents are thermally decomposed and gasified and then introduced into a catalytic-reaction furnace by means of an oxygen adjusting gas. Then, the thermally decomposed products and the organic solvents are brought into contact in the catalytic-reaction furnace and waste gases are introduced into a waste gas cleaning device. (Seki, T.)
