Siliconization and lithium coating of the first wall in the HL-1M tokamak

  • 1. Southwestern Inst. of Physics, Chengdu, SC (China)

Description

Siliconization and lithium coating of the first wall in the HL-1M tokamak have been performed by means of DC glow discharge with mixture of SiH4 and He and in situ lithium evaporation in the He glow discharge, respectively. With these methods, impurities and radiation power losses were generally lower than those with boronization, and there were strong wall pumping and low recycling for hydrogen. The excellent wall conditions played an important role in the experiments such as multi-pellet injection, LHCD, with long pulse discharge
