Synthesis of (22R,23R)- and 22S,23S- [4-14C]-24-epibrassinolide

Description

The title compounds were synthesized for metabolic studies in plants and animals, with 14C labelling being made at position 4 of two epibrassinolides in an overall radiochemical yield of 3.22% and 4.46%, respectively, based on barium [14C]carbonate. (author)
