Phonon density of states in disordered Ni-Mo solid solutions

Description
Calculation results for phonon state density in Ni-11.8 at.%Mo disordered solid solution are given using experimental data, obtained by diffusion scattering of X-rays from monocrystal, in terms of model of three nearest neighbour interaction. It is shown, that elastic properties of lattice within the whole range of Ni-Mo solid solutions vary negligibly, while with increase of concentration the boundary of phonon spectrum shifts to lower frequency direction
