Angular dependence of polarization of secondary protons from the γp→π0p reaction at photon energy 650 and 700 MeV

Description
Secondary protons from the γp→π0p reaction are investigated. Polarization of protons is measured at pion c.m.s. angles of 80-140 deg and 650 and 700 MeV photon energies. The experiment have been carried out by means of an optical spark chamber set up on the output of a magnetic spectrometer. The energy resolution was of the order of +- 20 MeV. The experimental results are compared to predictions of various theoretical analyses
