Results of the first phase of the ACO storage ring laser experiment

Description

A Superconducting undulator has been installed on the ACO storage ring and operated as a synchrotron radiation source, and as a free electron amplifier. Measurements of spontaneous emission spectrum, the gain as a function of the electron energy, and the laser induced lengthening of the electron bunch are reported. 25 references
