Bitumenization technology of liquid radioactive wastes from NPP's

Bitumenization of liquid wastes with the activity of 10-5-1 Ci/l is developed. Physical-chemical and physical- mechanical bases of bitumenization are stated. Viscous dependences are studied for certain wastes, and suggested are the methods of viscosity control by means of the chemical processing which improves water-resistance of the formed compound as well. Recommendation on the equipment provision of the process are worked out. The conducted investigations in the whole give the ground for the bitumenization method introduction at an NPP
