Effect of Coulomb interaction on the exchange amplitude singularities and nuclear vertex constant of d →p+n from analysis of elastic pd scattering

Description

The behaviour of the amplitude of transfer reaction in the model of three-bodies with two charged particles in the singularity point Z=zeta is considered. The Coulomb effects (CE) account transforms this amplitude pole into the branching point and changes this singularity force. The analytical expression for differential cross section (DC) of the exchange reaction (βγ)+α → β+(αγ), is derived. For the purpose of determining the nuclear vertex constant (NVC) Gsub(d) for d → p+n decay the DC pd-scattering extrapolation into the singularity point is performed. In the course of the analysis 450 experimental points at 14 values of Esub(d) energy in the 3.0-46.3 MeV range have been used. The results of the analysis are tabulated as well as Gd values obtained with account of CE. The Gsub(d)sup(2)=0.427+-0.003 fm value obtained is in perfect agreement with the theoretical value Gsub(d)sup(2)=0.43 fm. The correct value Gsub(d)sup(2) by the DC pd-scattering extropolation method is obtained for the first time
