Effects of external electromagnetic field nonlinearities on parametric resonance of betatron oscillations
Description
An effect of an external electromagnetic field cubic nonlinearity on the betatron oscillations parametric resonance in the presence of space charge forces in cyclic accelerators is considered. It is shown that the joint action of the space charge and the external electromagnetic field cubic nonlinearity leads to favourable conditions for a parametric resonance transverse both with an increase and decrease in oscillation frequencies
