X-ray photoelectron and X-ray absorption spectroscopic study of rare-earth molybdenum oxides

Description
The chemical state of atoms in rare-earth molybdenum oxides within the Ce6Mo15-Y6MoO12 composition range, as well as Ce5ErMoO15-δ and Ce5YbMoO15-δ has been studied by X-ray photoelectron and X-ray absorption (XANES) spectroscopies. The photoelectron spectra has been analyzed in the Mo 3d, Mo 3p, O 1s, Ce 3d, Y 3d, Er 4d, and Yb 4d regions. The results indicate that the oxidation state of the molybdenum in the compounds studied is 6+. The measured Mo K-edge spectra and XANES calculations are used to develop a model of a molybdenum-oxygen cluster in the rare-earth molybdenum oxides
Abstract (Russian)
Методами рентгеноэлектронной и рентгеновской спектроскопии (ESCA и XANES) изучено химическое состояние атомов, входящих в состав сложных оксидов молибдена и редкоземельных элементов в области составов Ce6Mo15-Y6MoO12, а также соединений Ce5ErMoO15-δ и Ce5YbMoO15-δ. Рентгеноэлектронные спектры рассмотрены в области Mo3d-, Мо3р-, O1s-, Ce3d-, Y3d-, Er4d-, Yb4d-ypoвней. Показано, что молибден в изученных соединениях находится в степени окисления Мо6+. На основании K-спектров поглощения молибдена и теоретического расчета XANES-спектров предложена модель молибден-кислородного кластера в рассмотренных соединенияхAdditional details
