Photoproduction of hadronic final states with 2 kaons in the energy range of 20-70 GeV

In this thesis following photoinduced hadronic final states with 2 kaons as possible decay channels for a PHI' meson are studied: γp->K+K-p, γp->K+K-π0p, γp->Ksub(S)0Ksup(+-)πsup(-+)p, and γp->K+K-π+π-p. Chapter I of this thesis describes the vector dominance model and the general phenomenology of the hadronic interaction of photons at high energies. Furthermore it contains a survey about the quark potential models for the description of vector meson states and a short summary concerning the contemporary experimental situation of these states. Chapter II presents the arrangement of the photoproduction experiment WA57, the trigger for the data acquisition, and the off-line analysis of the data. Furthermore the determination of the acceptance of the above channels is described. Chapter III contains the experimental results of these channels which are then in chapter IV discussed together with other results on the vector meson production. (orig./HSI)
